This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Note It application (the "App"). Please read this policy carefully. By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

If you sign in using a third-party authentication provider (e.g., Google, Apple), we may receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the App

- Communicate with you, including for customer support
- Send technical notices, updates, and security alerts
- Monitor and analyze usage patterns and trends
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security threats
- Maintain a security record of sign-in activity, so that you and our administrators can identify account access that looks unfamiliar
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your IP address or approximate location for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making, and we do not sell or share this information. Sign-in records and error reports are visible only to our administrators and, in the case of your own sign-in history, to you.
4. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: With third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf (e.g., hosting, analytics), subject to confidentiality obligations

5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), Row Level Security (RLS) on all database tables, and secure authentication tokens (JWT). However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Backup copies may persist for a limited time after deletion.
Sign-in records and error reports are kept for a maximum of 90 days and are then deleted automatically. They are also removed when you delete your account.
